Chris Andrews was born and raised in Des Moines and attended The University of Kansas (KU) in Lawrence, KS. He was licensed in insurance in 1998 and started working alongside his father in the business. In various roles throughout his career, Chris has been involved with sales and business development in multiple industries. In 2017, Chris started Insurance Dynamics and acquired the C. Mac Chambers Agency and a partial stake in The Asset Protection Agency, both located in Central Iowa. In 2019, Chris and The Accel Group’s leadership team merged these agencies’ power, creating a true regional presence and one of the region’s largest property and casualty agencies.
As an owner and partner at The Accel Group, Chris brings a strong background of insurance and finance expertise to the team. He excels in problem-solving around property and casualty exposure, contracting opportunities, governance, and strategic planning.
Chris and his family have lived in Central Iowa for over 25 years and are committed to the community and our clients. His wife, Julie, and sons Charlie, Cooper, and Beau enjoy time spent with family around KU athletics as well as live music, golfing, sailing, and flying.
