CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – The Accel Group, one of Iowa’s largest independent insurance agencies, announced that employee Jeremy Smith has been named the 2018 Outstanding Customer Service Representative of the Year, for the State of Iowa, by The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research.
To qualify for this top state honor, Jeremy submitted the winning essay on the topic, “In today’s business environment, CSRs are finding that more work is required from a smaller staff pool. As a CSR, what four ways have you found beneficial in helping you accomplish work tasks while still providing excellent customer service? In short, how do you do more with less?” Additionally, Mr. Smith was selected for having demonstrated outstanding service and professionalism within the insurance community. He is now one of 28 individuals eligible for the national honor.

Jeremy began his insurance career as a customer service representative in 2006. Since starting his insurance career, Jeremy has held positions in sales, human resources, and customer service. He has been associated with The Accel Group in Cedar Rapids, IA since 2009 in their personal lines department as a Senior Account Manager. Jeremy earned his CISR designation in 2011, and his CIC designation in 2017. He also served on the West Bend Mutual Insurance Personal Lines Action Committee from 2015-2019.
