Why Crawfish?
The Accel Group is bringing something different to the Cedar Valley! We are excited to host the first annual Accel Crawfish Crawl in downtown Cedar Falls this summer. This will be a family-friendly event with a festival and celebration feel. With a riverside 5k run for adults, a race for kids, a delicious meal, and a live band, the Accel Crawfish Crawl is the perfect summer event!
Let’s get crackin!
Our races are for all ages! You can walk, run, race, jog, or even crawl it. All races start behind the River Place Plaza stage on the trail. All trails will be marked accordingly to keep our participants safe!

12:00 – 4:00 pm – Registration
4:30 – 5:00 pm – Shrimp Shuffle (Kids Race)
5:00 – 6:00 pm – Crawfish 5k (Adult Race)
6:00 – 7:30 pm – Crawfish Boil
6:30 – 8:30 pm – Band (The Schmidt Brothers) & Celebration
Pricing & Age Buckets
$10 – Shrimp Shuffle (Ages 0-12)
$25 – Crawfish 5k (Ages 13+)

Cut-Off Times
5:00 pm – Shrimp Shuffle
6:00 pm – Crawfish 5k
Race Swag
All participants will receive swag! This includes an official Accel Crawfish Crawl t-shirt and bib for the crawfish boil.
Event Cancellation & Refund Policy
If inclement weather occurs (heavy rain, lightning, etc.), we will postpone the races as necessary up until 5:30 pm. If at that time weather conditions still do not allow us to continue, the event will be canceled for participants’ safety.

Unfortunately, registration is neither refundable nor transferable. We are so sorry!
Interested in being a Crawfish Volunteer?
We need approximately 60 volunteers to host a fun and safe event, and we hope you will join us! There are different opportunities available, with varying times and responsibilities. More specific details about each role will be provided to volunteers one to two weeks before the event day. In addition, all volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and a delicious meal on the day of the event to show our appreciation!
